Our studio is a place where children and adults can come and learn the art of dance in an accepting, non-competitive environment.
The studio itself, located in the lower level of The Box Factory of the Arts in downtown St. Joseph, is a place of history and creativity. When you walk in the doors you will be inspired! It is my hope that the love I have for dance will be shared with all who enter and they will take away something beautiful each class.
At Miss Natalie's Rhythm and Dance, we encourage everyone to be themselves, try their best and have fun!
Natalie Delgado started dancing for Victoria's Dance Studio in Muncie, Indiana at the age of 4. By age 9 she was a competitive dancer and starred in the Nutcracker at Ball State University. From there she performed with her group all over the country even travelling to Denmark and Russia (Formerly U.S.S.R.) in 1990. Victoria's Dance Company was well known for it's dynamic and winning tap and production routines. During college, while pursuing a degree at Ball State in Telecommunications, Natalie taught for her former teacher and mentor and eventually helped a former dancer start her own studio. After marrying in 1999, Natalie and her husband Kris, moved to Southwest Michigan where she taught at many locations including, the YWCA, Trinity Lutheran Day Care and the YMCA. After a dancing for 40 years, Natalie has finally fulfilled her dream since age 5 of having her own dance studio. She credits her teacher, Miss Vikki, for teaching her how to treat people, how to listen to children and really see them for who they are, how to be fun and firm at the same time and how to listen to a piece of music and hear what's missing and lay down that sound! It's the morals and ethics of Miss Vikki that are instilled in Natalie as a teacher, a wife and a mother. At Miss Natalie's Rhythm and Dance, your child will be encouraged to do their best and valued for their individualism while learning the art of dance.
